Conference Weekend

So we had a pretty busy weekend. First, I started Friday night off with a project. Korey is at school most nights and so if I see a window of opportunity I take it. I started off planting tulip bulbs in the yard and that quickly led to pulling out a dead tree in the corner. Korey is so cute with all the little boys in the neighborhood and he let each of them cut down the limbs one by one until there was nothing left but the trunk. Next, doing what boys do best, he grabbed the four wheeler to finish pulling out the trunk. They boys and Korey had a great time.
Then on Saturday morning Korey and I were given tickets to the 10 session of conference. We left nice and early and grabbed our favorite breakfast, Kneaders french toast, and headed up to SLC. It was an experience to be in the conference center and an eventful one. President Monson was an hour late so someone else conducted. Way bummer! I love President Monson he is a fun president. We were 5th row from the back so I think I prefer to watch it from home where it looks like they are just speaking to me. Korey and I were grateful for the opportunity to go. We have wonderful neighbors, Mindy and Jeff, and they helped us with the 4 little people so we could go. Thanks guys! Not to mention that Brinkley is the best help ever, sometimes it takes some coaxing and a few text messages but we really rely on her and she does a fantastic job. Love you Swoot! We got home at 1255 and grabbed the kids and headed to Aniston's soccer game. She really loves to play!
After the game we headed home to finish up the yard work. We planted two more trees and if Korey were telling this he would say we moved around the whole yard, and I would just say half. It looks great. I love planting new things and watching them grow. I feel the same about my kids each new school year brings out something new in them. Unfortunately, it sometimes is some extra added sass, but new is good, it means we are growing.
Sunday we spent the day together as a family and finished up Brinkley's book cover that was due on Monday. We went to discover park and made zucchini bread. I love spending time together, and I love that Korey is so willing to help me, even if he thinks it is crazy, he just plays along. I love the way he loves me! I really have the best husband ever!
