We spent the weekend with the Petersen's at Palisades. We had fun, it rained, we had more fun, it rained more! We were able to fish and kayak a little bit. After we got home we went for ice cream and a trip to the cemetery. This year Memorial Day had a new and deeper meaning. I can't believe he has been gone this long. I miss his laugh and his funny wit every day. I want to teach my kids to respect those who have passed on and to remember how much we loved him and how much we still do! Death doesn't change how you feel about someone, it magnifies it.
