McKinnon had surgery when he was almost 6 and we were told we would need to come back in for a a touch up when he was ten. McKinnon was not okay with with that at age ten so we waited
for him to come to us. So this was was the year he decided he wanted it fixed. We met with Dr.
Patel and discussed options. He said the muscle needed to be tightened and this gave me great
anxiety. When we arrived for surgery 2 hours later than planned we met with the Dr.
and he said after reviewing his measurements he felt he didn't need to adjust the center muscle. He would just need to remove the extra skin and pull up the outer corner. I was able to put on a bunny suit and go back with him while he drifted off to sleep. It seemed like forever for him to wake up, but when he did his throat was really sore. It was a long day but all went well. He is back running around like a maniac so he must be feeling back to normal.
