This past summer we took the kids camping and hiking up A.F. canyon. On one of the many hikes we did, Korey stopped to talk to a couple on their way up the trail we were just finishing. He asked "where are you going?" They replied "to the top, we are going to camp by the waterfalls in the wildflowers!" That made me laugh. I turned to Korey and said we don't need waterfalls and wildflowers just a king size bed and a shower. We are simple like that LOL!

Growing pains
So this last week Tenille, our babysitter, was out of town and so I was forced (and that wasn't very hard) to take an extra day off from work. I have other day's off, but this one was special because I got to have a full blown real nap with Dylainee. We slept for 2 hours and I would wake occasionally feeling guilty for not cleaning something. When we woke I realized that, that could have been the last nap I would take with my baby. I can't believe how big she is getting. It makes me think back to when she was born and we decided that our family was here. I was so sad that I wouldn't be able to see what another baby would look like or be like. It is still a sad thought, but on a positive note I love watching who and what these children are becoming. Korey said something to me last night like "Should I thank your Dad for that?" and I really hope that my children will be able to walk away from their childhood grateful for the things they have been a part of and have learned. Brinkley is smart and whitty. McKinnon is sensitive and so empathetic. Aniston is strong willed and social. Dylainee is flirty and funny. I love these kids even when I am surrounded with sass and arguing!.
