Wow, it is hard for me to go back and write about this. This day was super emotional. His graduation fell after his accident, came a day after Brinkley moved home from St. George and too soon really. McKinnon has been an absolute pain to raises but also really our pride and joy. We got one son because God knew no one else could hold a candle to this kid. Today we spent plenty of time trying to cover his scar. McKinnon has always been super particular about his hair so today was hard. After we got it to an acceptable place he went with boys for some pictures and some racing around the neighborhood in a cool Duramax. We all left and headed to Rio Tinto stadium. Covid made everything weird so it was outside and we were limited to the people we could invite. Nana of course was front and center. We cheered when they called your name and then there was a decent amount of crying. We took you for your favorite meal, steak of course and then you were off for a graduation all nighter. We are so proud of your grit and stamina. You are a super harder worker and want the girls to protect the name. We can't wait to see where this life takes you.
This past summer we took the kids camping and hiking up A.F. canyon. On one of the many hikes we did, Korey stopped to talk to a couple on their way up the trail we were just finishing. He asked "where are you going?" They replied "to the top, we are going to camp by the waterfalls in the wildflowers!" That made me laugh. I turned to Korey and said we don't need waterfalls and wildflowers just a king size bed and a shower. We are simple like that LOL!
