This past summer we took the kids camping and hiking up A.F. canyon. On one of the many hikes we did, Korey stopped to talk to a couple on their way up the trail we were just finishing. He asked "where are you going?" They replied "to the top, we are going to camp by the waterfalls in the wildflowers!" That made me laugh. I turned to Korey and said we don't need waterfalls and wildflowers just a king size bed and a shower. We are simple like that LOL!

McKinnon's accident 2021
Today was a the first day I felt grateful to have lost Papa because I know without a shadow of a doubt that he saved McKinnon on this day. McKinnon got down on the ground to look under a truck at school and the driver didn't see or hear him and backed up over his head. McKinnon remembers not being able to scream or do anything but hold his head off the pavement or the truck would have ran his head over. His friends brought him to the hospital and he and I were both in shock. The docs I work with helped us to get settled at the instacare. It took 3 layers of aroung 17-20 stitches to repair it. Dr. Mumford felt like he had a skull fracture but they didn't image it because it wouldn't change management. The emotional scars on all of our hearts and minds and all the what if's are way greater than the physical. We are so filled with gratitude that things went in our favor.
